True Worship | Part One

True Worship is an integral component to Living a Healthy Life.

Men were born to Worship.

The problem is not that we will worship, the problem is: What will we worship?

Worship is a part of our spiritual DNA, just like we need physical water, we also need spiritual water to drench and satisfy our souls. Just like Lying Changes our false character, so does Worship Change our True Character.

Worship helps us connect to God, it assists us to Live Life in the Spirit of God.

Only One Person is Worthy of My Worship, but if I don’t know Him and I don’t seek Him, if I don’t See Him and I don’t find Him–Guess What?

I am going to worship something or someone other than Him, because my soul is thirsty, and it will find something and somewhere to get a drink–but it often is not the kind of drink that will ever satisfy and heal and nourish my soul for eternity’s sake.

Will I replace the Pure and Holy object of Worship with a cheap imitation? What will happen if I do? Will I receive the due penalty for my reward? Do you know what the penalty is? (See Romans 1, Otherwise known as Idolatry.)

BTW–Worship includes many facets of faith, including obedience, listening, studying, preaching, prayer, sacrifice, giving, serving, and steps of extraordinary faith. In other words, it is not limited to simply singing songs, but that is also a key and vital component of worship as well.

This Post is devoted to developing a list of Songs that will promote the Worship of God that He Deserves, or more importantly, We DESERVE. When we shortchange our worship, we don’t shortchange God, but sadly we shortchange ourselves. God will still be God, whether I choose to worship Him in the honor due Him or Not. He doesn’t need my worship–He is unchanging. I need my worship to line up with His Nature, Character, Power, Glory, Honor, Holiness, Purity, Peace, Joy, Fearfulness, Forgiveness, Mercy, and Perfection. Why? So that I can connect with Him. The Real One. The True One. The Perfect One. That is my reward for entering into a True Covenant Godly Worship: MY SOUL GETS RESTORED.

The Truth is you can feel it. You can sense it. You can discern the change in your Spirit, when you Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

And these are the Worshippers He Seeks: those who will worship Him is Spirit and Truth. It is only those who enter into the space of Worship in Spirit and Truth who will genuinely connect with Him, and receive the reward and object of their worship.

In the Passage Below Yeshua plainly and simply lays out what True Worship is All about:

John 4:10-24 (KJV) Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. 15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. 16 Jesus saith unto her, Go, call thy husband, and come hither. 17 The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: 18 For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. 19 The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. 20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Sadly, there are millions of counterfeit worship traditions, songs, practices, and false worship leaders. They lead people to focus their worship on men and on themselves, on their feelings, on their clothing, on their music style, on their fades, their money, their popularity, their “hot” musical and vocal skills, their “cool” and hip attitude, and on their seductive/beautiful/attractive bodies, and on their total worship performance experience with lights, smoke, ground fog, dance, etc.,–none of which is generating one lick of true worship in Spirit and in Truth.

When we worship God, should we not be careful to protect our spirit from any false spirits that would wish to come in to our temple?

Fall spirits all over the world would love to gain access to your soul and mine. The question is: will they get permission from us?

I firmly believe that: The songs we choose to sing, should be as doctrinally sound as the Bibles we choose to read, and the preachers we choose to hear?

The Basis of The Truth, Can we Trust it?

Can we worship Jesus/Yeshua through a reliable and trustworthy?

It should be needless to say, We don’t want participate, nor in any way promote, nor compromise, this most Holy, most honoring, Act of Faith.

If I get it wrong, I am the one that suffers. I suffer in disconnection. I suffer in being excluded (in Spirit and in Truth). I suffer in delusion and deception of thinking, of motives, of spiritual direction, and spiritual life. I suffer in missing the mark, holding a grudge, holding on to sin, holding on to pride, greed, lust, selfishness, and the like. If I bring these into my Worship, and bring darkness into His Presence, guess what? I won’t be actually entering His presence, I will be participating in a counterfeit spiritual experience.  But when I enter into a place of True Worship, I release all my darkness, all my crimes against God, all my

The Fall out of our false worship is that we will connect to a false spirit, and be “none the wiser.” This is critical issue. Is it possible I am worshipping a false Jesus? in a false attitude? in a false atmosphere? in a false way? following a crowd of people? who are not drawing close to God but are drawing men and women to follow after them? If this problem was happening while Yeshua was upon the Earth, while walking among his own people, how much more possible could it happen in our day? (refer to chapters: John 4, 5, 6, 7, 8)

Guess what? It can happen. It does happen. And it is prevalent.

That is one reason we want to be highly selective to what songs we choose to use and songs of worship.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE:  Mixing Christianity & The Occult, through Music.

  • He makes some important points:
  • Hold your musicians and the songs you promote to the same biblical standard you hold your bible teaching, preaching, and evangelism to. In other words, don’t block the occult from coming in the front door, but leave the back door wide open for the occult to come in and take over the Ministry of Life in God’s Word.
  • We should hold all people to the same biblical standard, across the board.

The Exclusivity of the Gospel …

“To Him Who has an Ear to Hear,

 Let Him Hear.”

The gospel excludes the one who is not interested in learning,
hearing, believing, or living in the gospel.

To such a person the gospel is foolishness, and nonsense, and even heresy.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 (HCSB)
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing,
but it is God’s power to us who are being saved.

19 For it is written:
I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
and I will set aside the understanding of the experts.

20 Where is the philosopher? Where is the scholar? Where is the debater of this age?
Hasn’t God made the world’s wisdom foolish?

21 For since, in God’s wisdom, the world did not know God through wisdom, God was pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of the message preached. 22 For the Jews ask for signs and the Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to the Jews and foolishness to the Gentiles. 24 Yet to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is God’s power and God’s wisdom, 25 because God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.
