Can You See Him? … Can He See You?
Our First Order of Business is to discover:
Can Your Eye See Properly?
Luke 11:33-36 (KJV) No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. 34 The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single [good], thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. 35 Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. 36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
Unfortunately, many cannot see the light. Not because it is not shining. It most definitely is shining, but because it is shining behind closed doors, and locked in self made prisons. Certain men have chosen to shut themselves into a dark room. They have walled the room round about. They have blocked the windows and sealed the door so that they can be perfectly safe from the light that would surely come in, and flood the room, if the door were to be accidentally opened, or the window accidentally unblocked. Men are hiding themselves very purposefully, and diligently I might add from the light. Blocking the Light. Lying about the Light, doing anything they can to stop the light, anything but simply letting the Light Shine, which is its native character to do all by itself. Men with bad eyes across the globe and strong and vehement opposer to the light, continue to block the light, even up to this late and critical hour. But …
The Light is Shining Still, and the Darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:3-5 (NIV) 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. [Not over powered it. Not extinguished it. Not defeated it. Every attack upon the Light, has only made the Light even stronger still.]
But the problem for many is still: Can you see Him? Do You SEE HIM? Can you See that He Sees You?
Unfortunately, the chances are good that you cannot see Him, and as a result you do not see Him. Obviously, the two go hand in hand.
What might be the cause of such a disease?
What makes a man be able to see? Of course, the answer is simple: The man must have at least one good eye.
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single [good], thy whole body also is full of light
Why might a man not be able to see? He must have two bad eyes, Right?
but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness.
As we CAN SEE. The Eye is a critical organ in the body for observation, for seeing and interpreting the things and actions that are going on all around us. Without a good eye, you and I would be in the dark, literally. This also applies to our lives spiritually.
Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.
Many “posers” pose that there is no such thing as a “Spiritual Life.” Of course this kind of ignorance makes them blind as bats. How great must their darkness be?
This kind of thinking sets them up to fail, even before they begin. They have been robbed and raped of their own reason.
Their very idea flies in the face of reason. It mentally decapitates them. It cuts them off above the knee, causing them to be lame, and not able to walk in, or even consider the Truth. Their one statement cuts them off from ALL goodness, ALL kindness, ALL mercy, and ALL joy. This “poser” can never find true happiness, true fellowship, true comfort, or any true purpose in LIFE.
The poser can never know: true righteousness, true logic, and even scientific research and observation, which all require abstract thinking, which can only come from the spiritual world, the world of thought itself is an intangible spiritual reality. Such a poser, in fact, blinds himself and all other posers to anything that is abstract, intangible, theoretical, or none physical. At least, that is what I am proposing here. If you disagree with me, prove me wrong. If your proof is based on reason or logic or any abstract thinking your are accessing the spiritual, invisible world, and you would be refuting your own proof by trying to prove it.
In fact, I assert, a poser has not one foot to stand on, in even making such a statement or posing such a theoretical position, that there is no such thing as a spiritual life, because they are using the very powers of reason and logic that come from the intangible world of ideas, that are not sourced in rocks, or water, or air, or any place in the physical visible world. They are actually using ideas, which are sourced in the invisible world. So, excuse me if you feel I am wrong, and especially, if you feel offended that if I called you a “poser,” but this is the reality.
Where do you get such an idea that there is no spiritual world? Especially, when the very idea your are spouting actually comes from the very invisible spiritual world that your are claiming doesn’t exist. Obviously to me, your claim has no validity or leg to stand on–as already stated. The very statement voids itself. You cannot play with ideas that come from the spiritual world, if you claim the spiritual world does not exist! You can not have your cake and eat it too.
If you claim that I have incorrect vision, or that my eye is bad, please explain to me the invisible spiritual world.
Please explain to me: Where ideas come from? Please explain: How you can express intangibles, and use language, and discuss invisible ideas with me, and explain to me how I can understand those invisible ideas, you have proposed, and then I can challenge them to be right or wrong?
And then you can then disagree with me, and call my ideas wrong? Where do you get the right to do that? Where do you get the knowledge, (another intangible spiritual world reality) to even have a discussion about the existence of the spiritual world, if you have no giftings, and no abilities, and no language, that come from that spiritual world to make your argument?
It appears to me, what is being described, by the poser that says there is no spiritual world, and by extensions, there is no after life, no heaven, no hell, that is a mental limitation, a kind of psychosis, a serious mental handicap, and an obvious spiritual condition of blindness, a malady so dangerous, it will cause a man to commit suicide, homocide, and even genocide. Once the man becomes unpinned from the Spiritual World of Moral Reality, there is no limit to the Darkness into which a man can fall. See the movie “Nuremberg” (here) if you have any doubt about this psychosis. If you need something more modern, a more recent look here and see what happens when we embrace the unpinning of our lives from our moral spiritual world. Look through the eyes and the minds of two youth that were inspired to kill between 250, and 500 people in their attempt.
So, this begs the question:
Why would someone put themselves in such a position?
If in fact, you have contracted a disease, what is the reason and a motivation for it.
Unfortunately, once a person walks down this road there is no cure for the disease, as long as he holds to his own moral absolutes, that allow him to do unspeakable atrocities, in the name of personal moral absolutes, for which there is no cure, not because it cannot be cured, nor is it impotent to cure, but because the patient will not allow the disease to be cured. He will not permit it the cure. Because he favors the disease over the cure, and God will not take his delusion away from him. He will be stuck with it. And in the end the disease will kill him. The disease he has is a bad eye.
Matthew 7:1-5 (NASB) 1 “Do not judge so that you will not be judged. 2 For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you. 3 Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ and behold, the log is in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
What blocks a man’s eye from seeing his own true spiritual condition?
What stops a man’s ears from hearing and following God’s Heavenly Voice?
If my eye is bad, everything I see will be bad–out of focus, missing the mark. If my ears are blocked I will not receive directions from above.
What if all my teachers are also blind?
What if everything I’ve learned from others is founded upon spiritual blindness and deafness? How great will my darkness be?
That fact alone, not even including my own personal deception, could keep me walking in darkness right up to the Day of Judgment–on that day, all spiritual blindness and deafness shall it surely l be removed, but for that fact to benefit me, it will be way too late.
How then can I tell if I am living in darkness now?
Darkness is defined by the word of God as living outside the walls the kingdom of heavenly protection and heavenly direction. Living inside the walls of the kingdom, a person’s life produces certain clear markers that quickly identify him or her. Those markers, or the evidence of true faith, are called Fruit, by God. God describe both good fruit and bad fruit throughout His legally binding Heavenly Testimony.
If I had a mind to look, I could quickly see my own fruit, and judge it: to see whether or not I am living in spiritual blindness or not.
All my fruits should be evident not only myself, but everyone around me, for those who have a mind to SEE. If anyone has decent mind to look and see they will quickly discover who has good fruit, and who has bad fruit.
One quick test is to ask myself: How do I spend my money? Do I spend it only upon myself? Or do I use it to help others as well? What percentage of my money do I use to further the Kingdom of God, and to help those around me?
Another quick test is to look at my personal character traits: do I bear the mark, and bear the fruits of the spirit in my own personal life? Check out this list below:
Galatians 5:22-26 (NIV) “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”
As you may SEE. That is a pretty good list of fruits that can help me identify, if I am bearing good fruit or not.
Another way to check is to ask and see if I bear the fruits of the flesh (aka the works of the flesh) which are at war with the spirit–check out these three lists and see how you score:
Galatians 5:19-21 (HCSB) 19 Now the works [or fruits] of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry [making gods in our own image according to our own likes, sins, and imperfections], sorcery [witchcraft, Wiccan, tarot cards, astrology, seance, covens, satanism, etc.] hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing [partying], and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance — as I told you before — that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
If the above list is not clear enough, God gives us two more super clear lists. Why? One reason: Is that according to God’s Law every fact of Law must have at least 2 or 3 Witnesses. This helps rule out hearsay evidence, and rule out spurious testimony, and rule out misinformation, and helps rule false accusation, and helps establish trustworthy reliable judicial evidence.
Please Remember: God’s Word is a Testimony. *A Legal Brief Filed in the Courts of Heaven and in the Courts of the Earth–where His word is honored, living, active, and being obeyed among His people. His Word is weighed and sought to lead and guide not only individuals, but families, communities, churches, cities and nations. it is also under continual attack by the enemies of God.It always has since Genesis 3, and always will be unto the end, Revelation 22. We who seek its blessing will be faithful to seek His will in every matter of life and godliness. We will use it to judge and weigh our own actions, behaviors, and our own spiritual life against the clear and simple teaching of the Word. We will find that sometimes it will condemn us, and sometimes it will commend us. –to help us remove any doubt about his conditions that define eternal life–and separate the light from the darkness.
Note: *A legal brief is a document that is submitted to a court by a party to a lawsuit. In the document, that party lists the reasons why he should prevail over the other party or parties to the lawsuit. Legal briefs are often submitted together with a motion at the trial court level.
By reading these lists that describe in quick succinct and judicial order the fruit of the flesh, we can quickly make a clear evaluation, whether we are heading towards God and preparing ourselves for the Most Important Day of our Lives. Or if we are heading away from God, and setting ourselves up for Eternal Failure as we heap on ourselves and our lives and our testimony–our sins, lies, perversions, crimes, attitudes of darkness and the lusts of the flesh.
It is no wonder why so many so deeply hate the Word of God. And as even every honest atheist will admit, it is not due to intellectual or academic reasons, but due to moral and social reasons that they decline to acknowledge the Word of God–to their own hurt and risk.
With that being said, we have two more short lists to quickly examine ourselves by, to shed light on our darkness, and the darkness all around us, to help us SEE What God Requires in the Inner Man of those who will choose to Follow Him:
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (ESV) 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
Revelation 21:5-8 (HCSB) 5 Then the One seated on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.” 6 And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give water as a gift to the thirsty from the spring of life. 7 The victor will inherit these things, and I will be his God, and he will be My son. 8 But the cowards, unbelievers, vile, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars— their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur [or simple The Lake of Fire], which is the second death.”
Please SEE or Notice too very important things from the list above.
1) Above, you may have noticed that both Liars and Cowards are included in the list. Why is that important to note? Why? Because lying is a common every day, and being a coward is not even thought of as being a sin in our day–a character flaw, a weakness, but not really a sin. But in God’s Kingdom these two evils, can send a man to the Lake of Fire for Eternity.
Do you see the ramifications here? Men like to put everything in their own terms. They like a warm fuzzy god. They like a sugar coated, watered down message, that will predictably create Lukewarm an abominable believers–that look nothing like the Savior who faced Death Down and overcame the Devil, the World, and the Flesh by Faith, and Won over them ALL, and sat down at the right hand of the Father. No they like clubs, groups, meetings, for their social value, and feel good experience, but do nothing to strip the selfishness, the pride, the arrogance, or the lying hypocrisy, the vain babbling blasphemies, or the pure and utter cowardice-ness out of their lives. And lukewarm follower like to hang out with other do nothing lukewarm followers who have also created a god in their own image and their own likeness, so they all can live in a delusional do nothing religion, but will still face judgment day and be up a creek without a paddle, due to their own ignorance and their own false worship, and feeling good about themselves false faith.
Look again: No Liar. No Coward. No sexually immoral. No sorcery. No idolatry.
No hatreds. No strife. No jealousy. No outbursts of anger. No selfish ambitions. No dissensions.No factions. No envy. No drunkenness. No carousing.
Now what can you watch in entertainment that doesn’t compromise in one or all of these categories.
