Do you have the discipline to overcome sin?

Here’s a short list of sins coming from 7 key bible passages that list some major sins in a compelling context,  that the believer must face and overcome. This short list is an eye opener.

  • Anyone who does well to avoid every sin listed below will be well on their way to walking with Jesus in intimacy and Light, able to be useful in his kingdom, and ready to be a righteous servant to his peers, able to give heavenly testimony to the Work and Word of Christ.

  • Anyone ignoring any one of these sins, or failing to confess, forsake, and repent of these sins, immediately, completely, and permanently, is leaving a dangerous door open for the enemy to come in and plunder his house.
    .

There is no other time to repent of all your sins, but now. Now is the only time given. Now is the only chance you have. If you don’t confess now …, if you don’t forsake now …, if you don’t repent now, the chances are good that you will never do so. Therefore it is recommended that you never wait to confess, forsake, and repent of all your sins. And you should do this all at once. There is no such thing as gradual repentance. It’s an all or nothing ball game. You are either all in, or you are not in at all.

Any game playing, any excuse making, any fake or evil self justifications, only block your access to the Kingdom of God, and the resources of Heaven to overcome every lie, every sin, every temptation, and every evil bad and corrupt character habit and trait. This puts you into a progressively worse and worse state. And so many wonder why their faith is not working from them, but seems to be working against them. Guess what. Their faith is working against them, because they are actually working against themselves. Saying and believing one thing, but doing another. That is hypocrisy and it is a death sentence to the believer who wants to walk with God in Spirit and in Truth.

There is no room in heaven for any kind of sin whatsoever, therefore, if you intend on going to heaven, you should ready your mind to be done with sin. Haven’t you spent enough evil years, or decades in wicked sin?

If you have died with Christ, you are to reckon yourself dead to sin! If you are alive in Christ, you are to reckon yourself to be alive: to be a living, breathing, walking, talking testimony to the Kingdom of Heaven. You were created to be a Heavenly Witness and to give Heavenly Testimony to the Power, Love, and Transforming Life you have in Heaven.

If you live in sin, and you don’t have the Life of God directing your ways: How can you testify to and through His Heavenly righteousness? 

The simple sad truth is: You can’t. 

The devil knows this and will hound you every single day you give into him for the rest of your life. And you will walk around with this ugly confession. “I know I am a sinner. I sin every day, but I know God loves me anyways.” If I know of any person saying this I want to correct them thoroughly. This testimony does not glorify God and it does the person no good at all.

Sin will jeopardize your salvation in heaven, as well as your salvation here on earth, especially your holy and pure testimony of your love for God. If you don’t have it (His Salvation), or have it in your imagination only, but don’t live out every day as you defeat sin, defeat temptations, defeat lies, defeat fears, defeat anxieties, defeat worries, have victory over depressions, and take victory every false emotion and condition that will attack you … If you don’t overcome this now … when are you going to overcome it?

This is an eternal, unalterable, unmovable line drawn in the scripture: 

“The Unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.”

This concept is repeated 3 times below: it is spoken to three different churches, to the Corinthians, Galatians, and to the Ephesians.

You should mark this down (and repeat it to yourself, everyday of your life), and never let it go. “The Unrighteous shall not inherit the Kingdom of Heaven.” Let that word protect you. Let it influence everything you think, every thing you feel, everything you hope for, everything you say, and everything you do. By doing this you will give the enemy a black eye every time he comes to tempt you, twist you, pervert your motives, corrupt your desires, and defile your purity, beauty, grace, and truth.

 

7 passages of Wisdom for the Overcomer to fully digest and abide in.

 

  1. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
    “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate , nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

  2. Revelation 21:8
    “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers [sexually immoral], and sorcerers [all witchcraft], and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”

  3. Galatians 5:19-21 
    “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things
    shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

  4. 2 Timothy 3:1-7
    1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

  5. Romans 1:21-32 
    21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
              24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
               26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

  6. Colossians 3:4-17
    4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
    5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; [put to death] fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: 6 For which things’ sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience: 7 In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
    8 But now ye also:

  7. Ephesians 5:5-2 
    5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
              8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: 9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. 12 For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
              15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
    17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21 Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.

Question: What happens if I reject the Law of God and the Protection of God inherent in the Word of God? 

Answer: I leave myself exposed and unprotected.

I become open and vulnerable to every kind of deception. 

When I reject God’s Word, I will leave myself with only two choices: 1) to listen to man’s word (which is reliable as a thorn in your foot), and/or, 2) to listen to the devil’s word (which is as reliable as arsenic in your drink). Mark this down, the enemy’s voice will openly and boldly speak through Hollywood actors/actresses, singers, and musicians, university professors, television anchormen, radio talk show hosts, and my brilliant peers.

And of course “they all know more than God!” They all know more about heaven and hell. They all know more about righteousness and wickedness. They all know more about our judgment to come, obviously, because they have Google and Oprah,  YouTube and CNN (or FoxNews), National Geographic, Time Magazine, Joel Olsteen, Nancy Pelosi, AOC, and Joe Biden, and the democratic and republican parties to trust in and to listen to, and direct them.

How comforting and reassuring is that?
