The Soldier vs. The Civilian

The Word of God changes dramatically when the Reader of the Word of God, and the Student of the Word of God, has every intention of becoming A Doer of the Word of God.

When a man reads a manual about how to make something, but he has no intention of building the thing, or doing the thing the manual describes, his reading will be superficial, mostly intellectual and cerebral in nature and desire, because his skin is not in the game.

How Important are the lives
of your fellow Soldiers?

But let’s say the man is a soldier: He is reading his manual about his AK 47, how it needs to be cleaned, and maintained, and kept ready for immediate service, (and he is needing to remind himself how not to forget even the smallest detail). For if it doesn’t work (meaning that he failed to maintain his equipment), then his own life is at risk, as well as the life of his fellow soldiers who are depending on him to have their back.

If any part of his weapon is out of order or unprepared, if it is stuck, or if the sight is dirty, or is not completely accurate, or he is not thoroughly trained in the usage of his weapon, and if he doesn’t keep up a disciplined handling of his weapon, he could end up accidentally shooting and killing one of his own soldiers by accident. If he doesn’t maintain his own equipment that his whole troop is depending upon him to maintain, his is literally putting living human physical lives at risk. In other words, Real Life and real death are at stake.

Your Spiritual War is Twice as Important

Whether a man or woman acknowledges this, it is much the same with the Believer in Christ. If the sword of the soldier is dull, rusty, dirty, unclean, broken, cracked, slippery in the grip, or in anyway compromised, or if the sword is fully stuck in the scabbard, or in any way unprepared for battle, it will be of no use (impotent) in the vital Life and Death Fight of the LORD.

Yet this fight is not only for a physical life, but eternal souls, as well as permanent and infinite judgements are at risk. I dare say, the stakes are twice as high, twice as critical, and demands more than twice as much attention, because eternal life is far more than twice as long as this physical life.

What’s Your Motivation?

Therefore, it stands to pure reason that the perspective from which a man motivates himself, makes a huge difference upon his reading of his manual.

If you have New Life in Christ, you have joined an army with an infinite purpose, that has infinite risks, and infinite rewards involved. Are you motivated to walk it out with every intention of winning the War.

Are you will to take orders from Heaven, to set you sites on Heaven’s Objective? Are you ready to overthrow the enemy, and rescuing the Captives and Prisoners of War? They could possibly, your mate, your parents, your children, your neighbors. Even your enemies, and total strangers to be set free out of prison, and made into eternal family members in God’s Infinite House, they could be your God Given objectives.

“Do I not destroy my enemy,
when I make him my friend?”   ~ Abraham Lincoln

The Word of God is
Our Manual of Life over Death

The Word of God teaches a man how to have victory over the grave. It teaches us how to destroy evil, and overcome Death, and how to defeat the Works of the Devil. It teaches a man how to gain heavenly and eternal victory over the two greatest enemies of mankind. The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit (Hebrews 4:12).

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful,
and sharper than any two edged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,
and of the joints and marrow,
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Word of God is the weapon Jesus used to cut down the devil’s lies and temptations. (Mt. 4, Luke 4). The Word of God was the weapon Jesus used to defeat his enemy, and make him turn and run, frequently and often. It is both an offensive and defensive weapon in the hand of a skilled and trained, and well equipped soldier of Christ.

Remember:

“Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every word that proceedeth
out of the Mouth of God.”                 Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4.

(Please Note: If you read the NIV, you will see Luke 4:4 is missing half of this authentic verse that is quoting the very Word of Jesus—Imagine that!?? Check out what else the NIV, NASB, NKJV, NRSV, NAB, REB, RSV, CEV, TEV, GNB, LIVING and other modern Bible Translations {based on the Westcott and Hort Manuscripts} are leaving out of the Word of God. How convenient and telling it is to delete the very word that condemns the one deleting Words from the Word of God. See short study at the end of this post.)

The Mindset of a Soldier

Those who will learn to obey the Word, will read the Word of God, like a soldier whose life, and the life of those he loves depends on his understanding of the Manual that brings the Victory of Life over Death.

A disciplined soldier in God’s Kingdom will pay careful and detailed attention to God’s commandments and laws, and all His instructions. (In other words Gods entire Word including His: decrees, statutes, limitations, judgments, wisdom, truth, doctrines, Proverbs, Parables, declarations, Prophecies, historical examples, healings, biographical studies, metaphors, similes, hyperbole, poetry, eschatology, promises, and heed it’s warnings, miracles, signs, and wonders). A spiritual soldier as one Who intends to keep the Word of God as his standard for his own thinking, seeing, believing, acting, doing, and living.

As such, this soldier of God will live a completely different life, to the one who reads the word of God casually (a civilian), with no deep dedication, devotion, or desire, to fulfill the words on the written page he is reading. For he does not see the dangers and evils and deadly outcomes for being undisciplined and unprepared like the soldier does. And the civilian has never put his skin is not in the game, so it is not real for him. It’s just theoretical. The civilian has not be touched by the powerful, life transforming, Kingdom of Heaven, Life with Christ.

The Work of a Soldier

2 Timothy 2:1-4 (KJV)
1 Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. 2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

[In other words, as a soldier in training set your sites on becoming: A Disciple Maker. Don’t be stingy. Share what you have learned. Be a disciple that shares his wisdom and makes new disciples, that go and make new disciples, that go and make new disciples. First, train yourself in the Word of God, by studying and doing the Word and Work of God, then, teach others to do the same. This is how you become a fruitful worker in the Vineyard of God, in the Great Harvest of God, you meet with those who don’t know Jesus, and don’t know His Word, and your introduce them to Both. And you share as much as they are able to know and do. And patiently, and steadily, they will see the Kingdom maybe as well or better than you.]

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

As you can see from Paul’s Message to his Disciple Timothy: Paul was training Timothy to Think, Act, and Work as a soldier in training, who is also responsible to train others. That is how the Kingdom of God advances against the Gates of Hell. That is how a faithful believer is able to Bind the Strong Man and then plunder his house. That is how the child of God is able to set the captives free. One by One. Win One. Train One. Win Another One, Train Another One. “The Discipler” becomes a Servant to “the Disicplee”.

Paul taught Timothy to discipline his mind and his body like a soldier. To disciple his heart and his spirit like a soldier. And Timothy was faithful to teach others.

Indeed, this is the True Walk with Jesus to those who will pick up their Cross and Follow after Jesus.

At first we may not know or see it, but soon in our war against our sin, the flesh, and the devil, and world system under his dominion, is like being signed up for a virtual war that is on-going 24/7/365 days a year.

The closer you get to the frontline and enter into hand to hand combat, this war becomes ever so real.

Forget about all your theories and postulations you learned or studied in seminary. Fighting on the Frontlines requires a quickened spirit, a street wise discernment …

Matthew 10:16-17 (KJV)
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. 17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues …

Forget about your high minded, theological debates with professors. What you need is simply an incredibly sharp sword that is able to cut between the bone and the marrow, between the thoughts and the intentions of the Heart. And you need the surgical precision of a spiritual surgeon, guided by the Holy Spirit, who knows just what angles to cut and just how deep to pierce the wound and let all the poison and abscess of infection out. He will give you the Words to Speak at the Time that you need them.

Matthew 10:18-20 (KJV)
… 18 And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. 19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. 20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you…

And soon you will learn if you haven’t learned already, that the Battlefield is not only on the frontlines in the trenches before the enemy hordes, the battle is where ever you take it, or it takes you. Even in your own living room at home, our you own kitchen table during a family meal.

Matthew 10:21-23 (KJV)
… 21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. 22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. 23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another:

As a soldier following your Commander’s Orders you enter the battle and fight for the life of your loved ones at every place and in every opportunity the LORD calls you to Serve. The battle lines of the faith and the fight will become like second nature to the trained soldier. The more battles you fight, the clearer this concept of warfare will become. It will be evident and your living reality, even as the disciples of Christ were trained step by step, so shall you be trained in you have an ear to hear and a heart to obey the battle plan of your LORD and Savior.

You have a real fight

You have a real enemy. You have a real fight. You have real weapons set against you. You have personal armor that is necessary not only to defend yourself, but to take the battle to the enemy and flush out his space in the world around you. Your job will be to expose his lies: Shine God’s Light on his darkness.

Your job is to continually rescue those being led down the road to perdition.

Every soul on the road to self destruction–that is your target.

Every group running down the road to eternal damnation–that is your mission.

You are called to bind the Strong Man, and enter to the Strong Man’s House, break open his prison, and completely plunder his domicile. You job and objective is not only to take the Hill, but to transform the Hill from enemies to friendlies through the power of the Word and the Work of Christ.

Every  rare, valuable, and beautiful jewel, will be like a prize in your Crown for each and every soul you fought for and won into the kingdom of God for all of eternity. Every deceived soul, that is transformed from a mindset of darkness to a mindset and Spiritual Light & Truth, is your reward. That is the eternal fruit you are called to bear, and that will bring glory to the Father for all Eternity. And your fruit as a faithful and obedient soldier carefully following the battle plans of your Commanding Officer will produce a harvest of some 100, some 60, and some 30 fold what was sown. That is something like a miraculous bumper crop in the terms of agriculture.

Matthew 13:23 (KJV)
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

The Souls You will Meet …

The souls that had been deceived by the lies of the kingdom of Darkness: They are still captives and slaves on his road to perdition. But if we realize they are only walking that road, because the Light of the Gospel has not reached their souls, we are motivated to bring the Light, and open the door, and show a way out.

Our job is to be signposts on the way to hell. We can stand in the Gap. We can arrest the attention. We can divert the direction of those headed to destruction.

If we only care enough. If we will only prepare enough. If we will only do the Will of the Father and the Son, who has died on the Cross to Prepare and Equip us, and to send us in the the Middle of the Fray of the War that is waging deceptions against our friends and families, and whole communities.

The Sooner we say, “Yes. I am willing LORD, send me into the Harvest.” The sooner we will become battle trained, and warfare seasoned warriors of Light.

There is something that changes inside the soul of a soldier, when he sees the tracer bullets coming at him. When he sees exploding mortars and bombs fall are around him, when he takes on a near hit. He is no longer in a classroom. He is no longer in the world of philosophy and theory. He is involved in something that is more real than anything he has experienced before. And he then has a critical decision to make. To stay in the fight, or run away. Abandon his fellow soldiers, or continue to fight come what may.

Of course this happens in every war. Their are those who put up a true fight, and those who run home to mommy.

It is the same in the Fight of the LORD. That is why we are called to wisely choose our fighting companions, we are to not associate with lazy, selfish, carnal, disobedient, pretenders in the faith, because when we enter the battle, they won’t have our backs. We need those we can depend on. We need those who can stand up against the pressure. Those without a genuine walk with God by the Spirit of God, won’t be able to use their weaponswith precision. The won’t know the difference between defense and offense, and being offended.

Any double minded believers in the middle of a fight are like those with dull swords, rusty weapons, and useless impotent armor, they know not how to use in the heat of the battle. This doesn’t include young and zealous and new warriors. There is grace to cover them, and they learn quick, because they have a mind to learn. The proud and self willed, haughty and carnally focused believers are the cause for alarm. They often have another agenda to fulfill, the have 30 pieces of silver that are glittering before their eyes, their YouTube video channel, their testimonies in church, their new book deal they are beginning to write. Those wanting to be seen by men, are looking for the praises of men. They are a liability in the real fight. These are some of the things that need to be weeded out of the lives of True Soldiers “in Christ.”

Soldiers vs. Civilians
Two Opposite Viewpoints

That is why Paul calls Timothy and all those who will step into the Work and Word of the Kingdom of God, a soldier.

But a soldier who does not know how to handle his weapons, is a danger to himself and others. So going to the manual and digging into it’s directions as though our lives depended on our clear and odedient knowledge of God’s Holy Word, is essential. It is not an option, it is mandatory. The sooner we get this part of our story right, the sooner we will begin to be fruitful workers in the Great Harvest of God.

To one the Word of God is Life: and Power, Hope, and Joy, and it fills a faith filled future,
and an obedient action filled present.

To the other, the book is filled with nice stories and scenes, and helpful hints, and some good ideas, that could be helpful to them, but they could take it or leave it. They will pick and choose the parts they like, and ignore the parts they don’t like. Any thing that is inconvenient will be disregarded and discarded, or they will simply ignore the whole Word in its entirety. And no obedient action is required. Like those with “just believe, do nothing faith.”

The second kind of reader will be anathema in the sight of God. He will be like a abomination. He will not receive from God the power, the authority, the grace, the efficacy, the beauty, and the mindset of Heaven and Life. He will live a double life, with one foot in the world, and one big toe in the kingdom of God, which will lose its toehold as soon as some small trouble will sweep it away, while standing on a slippery slope. The hearer and not doer of the Word will quickly reveal his stripes (or lack of them). His life will demonstrate and declare who he is, and what he is, by what he is saying, and exactly by what he is doing.

John 7:17 (KJV) If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.

In other words, the soldier will know by doing, not by thinking, intellectualizing, pontificating, philosophizing, or prophesying out of his own mind … he will not be a “just believe only, ‘do nothing’ believer” that divorces his faith from his work in God. And yes, this is a popular prevalent modern church heresy, that has been pushed by false teachers ever since the first century. For a deeper look into this subject, checkout, Jesus’ Message to the 7 churches.

Just as the mindset of the devoted disciple will declare exactly who he is, what he is, where he is, how he is, and why he is doing the Word of God from his heart, with his whole mind, soul, and strength, so will the mindset of the civilian’s casual, social, politically correct believer demonstrate his faith by his actions.

Just for transparency’s sake: I am not the one to point the finger, I have been both a warrior, and a pretender, and a pretender warrior, so I have no higher ground to put others down. In fact, I am coming to the realization that the majority of my christian faith has been plagued with pretender tendencies, and worldly addictions, that have greatly hindered the Work of the kingdom for several years (actually decades). I am ashamed to admit that, but it needs to be said.

Also, this goes for several things that are going to be said against the modern idol worshipping church and idol worshipping church goers, of which I have been involved in both. I have no pride to stand on. So, the motive of my sharing is not to put anyone down, but to lift everyone up.

It is only right, to expose deceptions that are sick and lame, and nurse those stuck in them back to health and mobility.

That is or mission, and that is our goal. It may sound judgmental, but consider the source. The Enemy never likes his works being exposed or discerned, or destroyed, does he? No. So he will make those who expose him look bad. They will be called names, labeled, slandered, accused, belittled, mocked, scorned and much worse. But right now, that’s alright with me. I say “bring it on.” Turn up the heat. We are called to stand our ground in the Truth, and not deny Jesus’s Name, or the Father’s Will, and so shall we, if we do not lose heart and turn tail.

The one man is a pretender: an imposter, a dabbler, an inquisitor, and is in no way a covenant keeper or an authentic covenant receiver of the Word of God.

The other man is a warrior: a soldier, a fighter, an athlete, a farmer, a builder, a disciple, and a continual disciplined learning student and advocate of the kingdom of heaven. In other words, he is “a covenant keeper” and “a true witness” to God’s Heavenly Covenant. As such, he will become a powerhouse birthed in the Fire of God, energized by the full authority, full grace, and full truth of the kingdom of God, that abides in the Word of God.

Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV)

9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him,

nor speak any more in his name.

But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones,

and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay [silent].

I dare say, we have lots of dabblers in the Word of God in our churches today. But we have very few heavenly directed soldiers. We have many pretenders and imposters, filling the pulpits and filling the pews, but we have very few genuine, authorized, “Fire Born,” faithful, prudent, unstoppable, virtual preachers and teachers of the kingdom of God, doing the Will of God as described, and as demonstrated by Jesus, and the Apostles.

The early disciples who fully followed Jesus gave their whole lives to the Work of the Gospel (where are those examples today?) They demonstrated the work of God, by their example, leading their congregations in the power, and grace, and Salvation of God. And they received the scars and stripes of Jesus to prove it. Everyone of them suffered serious evil works against them.

But today, Not many are set on fire by The Fire of God, in the word of God. Therefore, not many demonstrate the workings of God through their deeds of grace and favor and power in the Works of God.

–Some churches are filled with lukewarm, insipid leaders and followers.
(See Laodicea, Rev. 3:16)

–Some churches are filled with dead religion, and dead religious leaders and dead religious followers, who know not the Works of the LORD.
(See Sardis—Rev. 3:1).

–Some churches are filled with idolatrous pagan temple worshipers preaching sexual immorality in Christ is ok.
(See Thyatira—Rev 2:20, “Jezebel’).

–Some false church leaders call themselves prophets, but preach another Jesus, serve idols, and also practice sexual immorality, and also accept sexually perverted behaviors and lifestyles (Gay, LGBTQ+, and worse), doing things too unclean to mention.
(See Pergamos, Rev. 2:14)

Many modern worshippers have money to spend on regularly worshipping in their Big Screen Temples in their home built, Big Screen, Surround Sound, movie theaters. Many also worship in Modern Movie Theaters (spending 100.00 plus a night to see Hollywood’s Latest Defiler. Many are addicted to Hollywood’s Stars, Hollywood Violence, Hollywood Sex Appeal, Action Plots, Daring stunts, Thefts, Murders, Raids, Aliens, Wars, Betrayals, Romance, and Comedy that Mocks the Word of God, and blasphemes the Name of Jesus.

These worshippers give their tithes and a portion of their offerings to Satan’s Industry, regularly. The Institution Designed to infect, poison, pollute, and defile every Kingdom of God loving soul, that watches and enjoys Hollywood’s Temple Worship Services.

Hollywood’s battle plan from the beginning was to cause believers to defect from their pure faith in Christ. It doesn’t take more than one drink of Hollywood’s Kool-Aid to get a wayward saint or believer addicted to demonic pictures, idols, lusts, greed, sexual perversions, and wicked violence that all seems normal and regular on the big screen. (See, Pergamos, Thyatira, Sardis, and Laodicea). I know, I have been one of them.

Today, even Pastors and Church Leaders promote and indulge in idolatrous pagan temple worship and will even use video clips from popular pagan movies to be included in their sermons. That might just be idolatry, being invited into the Holy Temple of God. That sounds a lot like Pergamos and Thyatira, Sardis and Laodicea, to me.

Lukewarm churches
That are Fashion Hot

We also have lukewarm churches that are Fashion Hot. Wearing the latest jet-set Hollywood styles, clothes, shoes, makeup, hairdo’s, you name it, you will see it, even in the pulpit, also sporting the latest hipster language, music, worldly enticing messages that depart from the Gospel, and the Faith, and the Work of Christ, and the Will of the Father.

Many fashion sensitive pastors and their families are fashion connoisseurs. They have ginormous spending budgets on their wardrobes, that have to be updated with every fashion change, These worldly materialistic worshiping wolves in sheep’s clothing, are people who by their provocative dress, and outrageously expensive clothing selections, that they love the World and the Things in the World, and make excuses and lies and deceptions about their pure devotion to Christ, while soak their congregations for millions of dollars. These same families pursue their materistic dream using money made from religion, stealing from the orphans and the widows.

Without a hint of guilt they buy the best homes, the best cars, the best vacations, the best furniture, granite counter tops, marble floors, gourmet dining, 24 hour maid service in their homes, for throwing lavish parties to keep the big movers and shakers in the community on the hook.

They expose themselves every time they drive to church in luxury vehicles, Gucci shoes, and even their hipster fashions run into the 1000’s. Check out their spending budgets, jet plane budgets (from 30 to 60 million), Milan Hotel budgets ($10,000.00 per night), and they are boasting about this, like it is a competition!

When spiritual leaders are Living in carnal mindsets, and indulging in worldly materialistic values, pursuits, and beliefs, placing them all high above the word of God, they are betraying the One who bought them by his own blood. They are also betraying and feeding off the Flock, instead of feeding the flock, being the example of Christ in the midst of the Body of Christ.

If you are connected to one of these so called church ministries, what would the Word of God call you to do?

When a church of God, negates any part of the Word of God, it corrupts their whole Work of God.

The reformation-ists want to take us back to the reformation, and their message is good up to a point, but they still deny whole passages and whole parts of the word of God.

The only acceptable, authentic, and truly ordained by God example for the church of God, and the only biblical model we have, comes from the Book of Acts, and the messages of the apostles, and the Teaching and Example of Jesus.

And they all teach, and demonstrate, by example, a totally different faith in action, than what we see and the pulpit demonstrated in the church as of today.

Now we must decide: with whom we are going to place our trust?

Modern preachers,
Or the Original Teachers?

Modern preachers, or the original teachers?

Are we going to follow the words of Christ, or the words of man?

Did your modern preacher die on the cross for you? If he did, then you should follow him. If he didn’t: Shouldn’t you be following the One who did die on the Cross for you?

How many modern preachers live to be a living example of the Living Christ, who gave his life as a ransom for all? And also commanded his followers to lay down their lives for one another.

John 10:15 (KJV)
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.

John 15:12-15 (KJV)
12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 10:12-13 (KJV)
12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd,
whose own the sheep are not,
seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth:
and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling,
and careth not for the sheep.

Matthew 10:24-27 (KJV)
24 The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. 25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? 26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. 27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

John 15:14-15 (KJV)
14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. 15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Jesus clearly said:

John 14:12-14 (KJV)
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

I have heard from many modern and eloquent reformationist preachers, (like Vodie Bacham, and Justin Peters) that God no longer speaks today, no longer does miracles today, that there an no longer any apostles today and no prophets today, and that all of that died with the writers of the New Testament.

The Word of God says different:

Ephesians 4:11-13 (KJV)
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

If these offices have been fully fulfilled, then the Body of Christ has reached its apex, we allhave already come into the unity of the faith. We all have the knowledge of the Son of God, and we all have been made unto a perfect man in Christ. , We are so full faith and works that we are reaching unto the full measure and the full stature of the fulness of Christ:

If this has already happened, then yes, the need for true apostles, prophets, evangelists, teachers, and pastors is no more necessary, for then we would all be Like Christ Himself, livingin the Fullness of God, what need have we for teachers, when we are already Likened unto Christ, bearing the Glorious Image of Our Savior in Perfection.

But if this has not happened, I fully believe, we are every bit in need of these living examples and offices of Christ as we ever were, and I believe the common sense straight forward interpretation will bear this out.

Does your church have an authentic genuine apostle exampling Christ’s sufferings and being beaten and jailed and tortured for his obedience to the Call and Work of Christ? Is he a powerful, unstoppable, inspiring and challenging witness to the whole community of Christ? Has he shed his own blood for the cause of Christ?

Hebrews 12:3-8 (KJV)
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. 4 Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. 5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: 6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth. 7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not? 8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Does your church have a Prophet that is bringing correction to the Body, that sees through the lies in the Body, that goes before the Throne of God in intercession for the Body, and is bold, powerful, courageous and undefiled in his Presentation of the Truth, and doubly bold before the Leadership of the Church, rebuking, correcting, reproving, and bringing Training in God’s Righteousness, Holiness, Purity, and His Call to Perfection?

Does it have evangelists that are demonstrating the Power of the Gospel to expose the lies in our society, and bring people out the darkness that traps men and women in those lies, schemes, pits, and demonic strongholds of the enemy? Does your Evangelist present newly won souls, who have been cleansed of their sins, and made clean and new and whole in the waters of Baptism? Is he regularly presenting New Souls to the Body that have fully confessed and forsaken their sins, and begun a new Life in Christ? Living in the Body of Christ clean and whole in the Light of God? Evangelists who teach others how to do outreach? How to visit every neighbor in the community? How to gather a crowd and proclaim the Eternal Gospel in open air public places? University Campuses, Market Places? Open air city squares? Does your church regularly participate in Laboring in the Harvest? Reaching every lost soul in the community?

Does you church have pastors that nurture the weak and the broken? Care for the needs of the Saints? Visit the poor, and hungry? Take food to those without? Visit those in Prison, and provide for their needs, physically, and spiritually, emotionally, and socially?Pastors who example and demonstrate the compassionate heart of God?

If not, should you not be praying for God to raise up these kinds of men and women in your Body who will be a Heavenly Witness and Example to the Flock to help every child of God grow up into the maturity of Christ Himself?

You may have gathered that I am not a dispensationalist that says, the Harvest of Souls is complete. The Body of Christ has reached its Apex. The Fullness of the Harvest is Over, we have not need for those anointed in the offices of pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets, and apostles. Why? Because we need all the help we can get and all the examples, and ministries of Jesus to be functioning at their highest and best operation, so that the Work of Christ can reach its ultimate Goals the Salvation of Many, so that all who will call upon the Name of the Lord with a pure and true heart will be saved!
