Chapter 6

The Blood Covenant of God

   OR
The Fall of Mankind
(Pick One)

The Genesis Road of Redemption:
“Let there be Light”

The Genesis Road of Redemption, obviously begins with Adam & Eve. Yet, the Son of God story begins even before Adam and Eve. Even before the Creation of the World.

In the Book of Revelation, Jesus is NAMED the Alpha and Omega.” He is the Beginning and the End. He is the Light of the World!

Can you imagine Jesus skipping Day One of Creation in the Telling of His Story to the Cleopas and his buddy? I can’t imagine that he would, so let’s take a Good LOOK, at the Light of the World, who was in the Beginning (and even before the Beginning) and Forever shall Be.

The very first pictures we have of Jesus, as the preincarnate Son of God, in the Scriptures are spoken about a time even before the world was created, even before the foundations of the world were laid. As we learn from the testimony of the apostle John, “All things were made by him.”

John 1:1-5 (KJV)
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

As You can see John’s scriptural writing reflects, enhances, and deepens our understanding of  GENESIS 1:1: “In the beginning God…”

The Hebrew word for Genesis is “Bereshit” (pronounced Bereh-sheet). Translated it is: “In the Beginning.” The Word used for God here in Hebrew is  Elohim, the uncreated Creator God, who created the heavens and the earth. These two words together, “Bereshit Elohim,” declare the first sign/clue/evidence of the Messiah, Jesus, the Son of God, the Savior, Master, LORD, King, Judge, Teacher, Supreme Prophet, Healer, and Sovereign Leader of the World. And as we will discover in the Books of Joshua & Isaiah & Daniel & Psalms, and Revelation (and others), Jesus is The Head, the Leader, the Commander and Chief of the Armies of YAHWEH, (the Lord of Hosts):

The first clues of the Messiah

The Words “Elohim,” and “In the Beginning,” are the first clues of the Messiah to Come. Elohim, is the Plural Word for God. It could be translated, “In the Beginning ‘Gods’ Created the heaven and the Earth.” But we know that there is only One God, so that would be confusing. But here is a clear case for the Trinity nature of God right in the first sentence of the Word of God. Elohim forces the issue, that He is plural, not singular.

Genesis 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 In the beginning God [Elohim, the Plural God] created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

In the above three verses, you could interpret or discern that there are three possible different functioning entities operating together:

  1. Elohim (person 1), Creating the Heaven and the Earth.
  2. Elohim (person 2), The Spirit of God, hovering upon the face of the Waters (Clearly the Holy Spirit).
  3. Elohim (person 3), Creating Light, by the Spoken Word, as well as, creating the First day by his spoken Word.

Jesus spoke, and there was light. Since Jesus is the one by whom “All things were made.” And He is the Living Word of God. He might naturally be the One who spoke the words, “Let there be Light.” And He would be credited for bringing Light into the World. Remember this Light, Jesus’ Light, was shining and giving Light to the world, even before the Sun, the Moon, or the Stars were created. So all of Creation was bathed in God’s Glorious Light from the first day of Creation.

LIGHT was the first thing created after the Heaven and the Earth were created. This is significant in the order of Creation. Many attack the Word of God, saying it is not scientific, because as naturalists, they only believe that light comes from the Sun, Moon, and Stars. This would be normal for anyone rejecting God’s Testimony about Creation, and about Eternity, and who would readily embrace the patently proven false theory of evolution. The two go hand in hand. These naturalists also are so bold to beg the question: Who created God? Which is an Oxymoron. If god needed to be created, he is not the God of Creation. Which perfectly fits their false paradigm and false understanding that all naturalists have against God and Creation, and just about anything to do with eternal reality. First, they create a false god in their own mind. Then they attack the false god, and then they reject the lie, that they have created. That’s a pretty fancy creative sequence of events invented by something that evolved from a rock. But if the one with such an imaginative and creative ability had not be created in the image of God, he would not have had the intellectual ability or power to even reason through the lie he created for himself. Thus, he condemns himself by his own lie from the very “git go.” The only real and trustworthy explanation is that liar of this world had come and deceived him and twisted his thinking and even the logic he uses to make his own illogical arguments against the God of Creation, whom he should be able to easily understand by the Creation itself. As such he stands condemned, by his own understanding.

2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

If any naturalist, atheist, evolutionist would choose to take the blinders off their eyes, they would begin to see all the false premises upon which they believed. The First thing they might see is that the God of Creation is the Uncreated God, he always was, always is, and always will be. He has no beginning, and no Ending. .

Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

He was here before the Beginning of the World, and he had to be for He created it. And He will be here, after he destroys this world, and re-creates a New Heaven and a New Earth. And if any unbeliever has not repented from their sin, and received Christ as Master, Savior, and Lord, they will not taste the Goodness of God’s totally new Creation.

2 Peter 3:10-13 (KJV) 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, 12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? 13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

What the atheist doesn’t grasp is that by rejecting the Light of God, in the Son of God, he opens himself up to so much spiritual blindness, and sin that he will eventually be dragged down to the darkness of hell where no spiritual light will be able to save him.

Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart.   ~ Ephesians 4:18 (KJV)

This very subject, of Jesus being the Light that Shines in the Darkness, will be woven throughout the whole of Scripture, and will complete the story in the last chapters of the Book of Revelation, thus endorsing that He is the Beginning and the End (Revelation 21:23), which will be shown below.

The Light of the World

Jesus calls himself the Light of the World. And he is clearly the one who created the Light, and is the Light. That is his own personal Nature. It is the Nature of His own Heavenly Being. (see: Revelation 21:23, below)

“I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.”     John 8:12-13 (KJV)

Yet even though He shines in the Darkness, those in the darkness cannot comprehend his Light. This is because they truly don’t want to comprehend it. Those who love darkness will actually hate the Light.

John 3:18-21 (KJV)
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Men and women who hate the light, love the darkness, and want to stay in the darkness, men like Richard Dawkins. This is the sad testimony of every lost person walking in darkness upon the face to the Earth today. The Earth that God Created by His glory.

Romans 1:18-21 (KJV)
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold [or block] the truth in unrighteousness; 19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. 20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: 21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Many highly educated, highly intellectual, men walk in utter foolishness. Some actually believe that “Nothing Created Something.” They believe the world was created by some mythical explosion, from a dot the size of a period on this page, and that people came, or evolved from rocks, and that all the marvels of Creation came about as random accidents. And that all men are just accidents of nature, beasts that have evolved from rocks that made slime, that made men. From Goo to Zoo evolution. Such is the depth of understanding of the testimony of men, who reject the Word of God. These are the same men want the Word of God blocked from public education, because their foolish hearts are darkened.

Romans 1:22-23 (KJV)
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

It is interesting to note: That ancient deceived cultures worshipped actual images of animals, made into man made idols, but modern man worship evolution, not even the idol, but the theory of an idol, that the monkey is our father, and not God at all. It would seem the more we evolve the dumber we get, and the more ludicrous become man’s religious, fake, and phony beliefs.

Romans 1:24-25 (KJV)
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

This is absolutely true and easily verifiable: There would be no use for STD companies around the World making millions of men’s lusts to dishonor their bodies between themselves.

Romans 1:26-27 (KJV)
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence [STD’s] of their error which was meet.

This also is quickly verifiable. The HIV/AIDS epidemic, the new Monkey Virus. And horrific other STD’s that have spread through the Homosexual culture like flies on dog poop. And what are the results. Suicide is the highest among the homosexual population. They have put their hope in their flesh, and their flesh has not given them a good reason to live. Yet they claim to be proud, and push their pride parade across the country. Just showing God has given them up.

Romans 1:28-32 (KJV)
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient [perverted]; 29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things [including Sado-masochism], disobedient to parents, 31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Now if you have spent any real time in or around the gay community, you will quickly confirm, and they will also confirm, all the above symptoms run rampant through their social ranks. Just take one visit to a gay black leather bar and it will become immediately clear what the Apostle Paul is speaking about above. The Darkness is walking in plain site. This may be hard stuff to read or hear, because it exposes the very underbelly of the bowels of hell, but such is the world in which we live, and it is only going to get darker before the whole show down is completely over. And without the Truth of God guiding a child of God, born of the Spirit of God, there is no chance of Redemption, that the Light of God will Save them.

As a result, of their refusal to believe, or even hear the Testimony of God, the wrath of God abides on them. And for good reason, because they chose to reject the Light of God, who is the One and Only rightful King, Ruler, Creator, Judge, and Law Giver, whom unbelievers have rejected, as such they come under that condemnation of their own unbelief. God’s laws are made for the benefit of all mankind, so that no man can cheat another man, no man can defile another child, women, or other men. No man can hate, steal, nor rise up in pride and dominate another man. No man can make slaves of other men to serve them.

He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because … light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light.   John 3:18-19 (KJV)

The Word of God

And as noted Jesus is called “The Word of God” and when he speaks He creates. Things come into being by the Word of his mouth. This continues for six days of creation. By Jesus’ own testimony, he only speaks the Words that the Father gives him.

For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me,
He gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.
And I know that his commandment is life everlasting:
whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.
John 12:49-50 (KJV)

So you can see, The Father and The Son Live in a tight union together.

Did you know that it is the express desire and purpose of Jesus and of the Father to include you into their incredibly tight and heavenly relationship?

Did you know that that is whole reason for the Blood Covenant, for the Death on the Cross, for the removal of sins from the sinner?

The entire reason Jesus was willing to leave his place of perfection and beauty, majesty and holiness in Heaven was to come down here and prepare a WAY for you to come and be with Him in Heaven with His Father for all of eternity.

It is the  clear and conscious intention of Jesus to include you and me in His Heavenly Kingdom Relationships. And these are no ordinary Kingdom relationships, with no ordinary men and women of faith, grace, power, love, mercy, and Truth. We will be invited to meet the greatest names in World History, and rub shoulders and share stories with the most incredible men and women who were ever born. This is all part of the Blood Covenant Life we shall be entering into as we go deeper and deeper into the Will of God, Studying the Blood Covenant of God will all diligence, integrity, fervent spirit, and desire to grow into the Likeness of Christ.

The Whole Aim of Christ

Being The Light of the World, and Being the very Word of God in living flesh, Jesus was to become an example (KJV calls it an “ensample”) of what a true and right and REAL RELATIONSHIP with God the Father was supposed to look like, on a daily, weekly, monthly, even yearly level.

Jesus never did hide his life behind the Ecclesiastical Gold and Polished Brass Doors of the Hierarchical Church. Not even close.  He chose to spend the bulk of his time with the poor, the common, the weak, the suffering, the hurting, the lost, the confused, the lowly. And He showed his friends and companions, on a daily basis, what God walking in a human body looked like. What a man connected to the Spirit of Christ could be, and become. What a group of men devoted to God, and one another could accomplish for the betterment of the entire world even in one short generation.

He also showed his friends and companions in real time, what sacrificial love and living for God would also look like. What giving your all for the work of Christ might well cost you. And as it turned out, most all of the early disciples gave their All, even as Jesus gave his ALL. The drank from the same cup of suffering, and were baptized with the same baptism of fire Jesus was baptized with, even as Stephen did, even as James, the brother of John did, even as John did, so did Paul, Philip, Matthew, Peter, and the rest have holy testimonies that were sealed with their own blood. This too is a part of the Blood Covenant of God Relationship.

When and if we get to heaven, we will meet these men face to face. We will see in them the Love of Christ, and the commitment of a Lifetime, and the Grace that Filled their lives and could and can fill our lives.

It will be quite a day to hear and learn all of the exploits of these men that walked with Jesus and showed the way and inspired generations and generations, and generations of believers to follow in their footsteps. And the whole Movement started with the Light of the World.

As we also seek first the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness, we also will be transformed and will be given assignments that will take us out of our comfort zones, even as those who have gone before were pushed out of their comfort zones. And the testimony will always be. It was worth it. The glory of these men’s lives far exceeds any thing we can think or even imagine. The depth of love and gratitude and commitment they showed in their daily lives with the same kind of people Jesus spent time with created whole streams of families of believers who took up their banner and their cross and went into battle to defeat the enemy, not with swords or clubs, but with truth, power, mercy, authority, grace, humility and love. And these Kingdom relationship begins that we will have for all of eternity, they will begin right here and right now–in this life. If it doesn’t begin here, it won’t begin there.

The whole reason Jesus came to bring His Light to the Earth, to bring His Father’s Word to the mankind, to bring His Holy Spirit’s Power to the poor farmers, common fishermen, despised tax collectors, prostitutes, and demon possessed Gadarene Demoniacs was to lead us into the way of the Father.

The Path and Purpose of the Cross

He endured ridicule, the accusation of being a bastard, the accusation of being mentally retarded (out of his mind, and insane) even by his own family members, even his mother and brothers tried to take authority over him. They thought he had gone too far.

The Reason Jesus put his life in danger on a regular basis, knowing the authorities were trying every angle to have him put to death.

The Reason He perspired drops of blood while in deep agonizing prayer, asking the Father to remove the Cup from Him. Even in all of his eternal existence Jesus had never ever been separated from His Father. And their relationship was tighter and more honoring and perfect than anything we can even imagine, and Jesus was praying for another route, where God would not have to turn his back on his only begotten Son.

And as you can see, He did all of this for you and me.

So that we could enter into the same deep and intimate relationship with His Father, that Jesus himself had for eternity, up until His death on the Cross, when He Suffered the Great Separation, gratefully, for Jesus, this was not a permanent experience, but that did lessen the terror, dread, and revilement of it.

Personally, I don’t think Jesus was all to concerned about the physical pain that the Romans would punish his physical body with. He had already demonstrated that he could endure strict physical suffering.

To be honest, the Testimony of the Centurion who watched him die, saw that this man, must have been the Son of God. That Centurion has seen probably hundreds, if not thousands of men die. Possibly some of the strongest men in the nations, but none of them could touch a candle to Jesus control, grace, humility, gentleness, lack of violent retaliation, his love and concern for others while dying (the Thief on the Cross, His Mother’s Care, and on and on. Plus the signs, the Sun being blocked out, the earthquake, the ripping of the Temple Curtain, the Divider between the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place was ripped in two, all of this had great significant meaning, and it was all done to fulfill the Prophecies about Christ and the Mission He came to accomplish.

All of it was done through the power in the spirit of God. What we learn from Jesus is that Life in God is all about obedience to the Father, to do the will of the Father. And his will is not burdensome, nor boring, for those born of His Spirit, but rather quite exciting, challenging, adventurous, and LIFE CHANGING.

John 17:11 (KJV)
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

John 17:19 (KJV)
19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.

John 17:20-24 (KJV)
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Here we clearly see, they were one, even before the world was formed or the foundations of the world were laid. That is why God can have a Plural Hebrew Title/Name like Elohim which is clearly plural, but they are still One.

This concept, or rather this spiritual reality, of being unified in the Spirit of God with the Son of God, and entering His Union with His Father, and being one with the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit is a powerful and overriding theme for everything Jesus came to the Earth to accomplish. That we might be one, as they are one.

Having unity with Jesus in the Spirit, is to be one with the Father as well. Those who have seen Jesus, have seen the Father. When you and I live in the Spirit of God, in humility, in harmony, and in union with the Father and the Son, we will simultaneously live in harmony with one another. And as such, all jealousy, greed, lust, anger, fear, superiority, insecurity, lies, and doubts will be washed away. And our garments will shine like the sun, and we won’t need to compete with each other or allow pride, or preference, or privilege, or any such thing cause a division among us. We will strive to live in the Truth, walk in Holiness, and be at peace with our brothers and sisters, and be continuously seeking to save the lost who know not God, His Love, or His Oneness in the Spirit.

John 14:8-12 (KJV)
Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. 9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? 10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works’ sake. 12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

In the Age to Come there will be no more Sun nor Moon needed, but God’s radiance will be the Light provided for all who live in Heaven’s Domain.

And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon,

to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it,

and the Lamb is the light thereof.

    ~Revelation 21:23 (KJV)

So you can see that Jesus clearly is the Light of the world. He begins as the light of the World, and He Ends as the Light of the Heaven. He manifests His Great Light for all mankind, for all that will accept His Kingdom and His Kingship, He is the Glorious Light of Heaven.

And this is revealed, or rather introduced in the very beginning of the scripture.

Jesus is also the living Word of God. It was his word that was spoken that brought all of creation into being. And yet he was not working alone, the father gives him his words to speak, and the spirit gives the words power to create. The three persons of God are always working together, and they are one, one God in three persons.

The Three Persons of God Clearly Seen

You see these three persons in several places throughout the scripture. One significant place is during the baptism of Jesus the son of God, in the Jordan river, when he was baptized by John the Baptist, his cousin.

Matthew 3:16-17 (KJV)
16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

You should clearly be able to see the Trinity Here, in three distinct different places, doing three distinct different things, this is very similar and almost parallel with Genesis 1:1-3:

  1. Jesus, the Son, was baptized in the water of the Jordan.
  2. The Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him
  3. The Father Said: This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

You can also clearly see the interplay between Heaven and Earth.

  1. The Father is speaking from heaven.
  2. The Spirit is traveling from Heaven to Earth.
  3. The Son is standing in the water upon the Earth.

These same elements are introduced in the first 3 verses of Genesis (the book of Bereshit).

As you can see the Themes of God are richly interwoven into the fabric of His Scripture. They are tightly intertwined throughout the Testimony of God. There are laid out in layers, and can we can see them in differing depths. They continuously bring greater and greater understanding and revelation to the believer who will choose to study his Word.

We will end this Genesis Day One Study with the exhortation from Paul to Timothy:

Study to shew thyself approved unto God,
a workman that needeth not to be ashamed,
rightly dividing the word of truth.
         ~ 2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV)

Next we will look at Genesis Day Six.
